The Young Volunteer

This young boy was on the battlefield at a historical re-enactment at George Ranch, Rosenberg, TX. His much too big jacket was well worn but he carried his firearm with pride. The head covering was the most striking feature. With its vivid red-orange, I decided to paint in complementary colors of green-blue and red-orange.
