Daniel Greene was my mentor in absentia. His book, Pastel, was one of the earliest instructional books on pastel, and one of only a few available when I began my journey in this beautiful medium. The pages are pastel smudged with colors from my fingers, as I flipped through the book trying to learn "how do I do this."
