Take full throttle energy, a dynamic voice, the songs of Janis Joplin and package them in curls and feathers, add the vibrant colors of stage lights and a hometown audience—that was the electricity Amber Leigh Martin created at the Janis Joplin Bash 2003. Getting a good camera shot to use as a reference photo became difficult, as Amber’s stage movements were quicker than the lens shutter. Memory of the night, with The Pearl singing in the background, painted itself into “Amby Sings Janis.” |
